We're looking for highly skilled, hardworking, punctual, and efficient tradesmen who genuinely care about their workmanship.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS LANGUAGE:
Proficient in reading and speaking English
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' wood finishing and sanding high-end cabinetry and architectural millwork for residential and commercial settings EXPERTISE:
Advanced knowledge in all aspects of wood finishing and millwork sanding, including preparation, sanding, filing, priming, staining, spraying, painting, buffing, polishing, mixing, color matching, blending, touch ups, and quality control VERSATILITY:
Proficiency in working with various wooden and veneered surfaces for cabinets, doors, panels, trim, millwork, and furniture in a shop setting FINISH TYPES:
Advanced experience in finishing different sheens and specialty finishes, such as paint grade, matte, satin, high gloss, staining, polishing, open-pore, glazing, bleaching, distressing, and more SAMPLE PRODUCTION:
Advanced expertise in sample production EQUIPMENT:
Skilled in using mechanical sanders, block sanders, spray guns, operating commercial spray booths, hand polishers, brushes, and various hand and power tools PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
In-depth understanding of finishing products and their applications, including polyester coatings, polyurethane coatings, catalysts, and reducers QUALITY CONTROL:
Demonstrated capability inspecting completed products and finish methods for flaws or imperfections SAFETY:
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols within the finishing department INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining finishing materials and tools inventory TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret complex project plans, architectural plans, and shop drawings ATTENTION TO DETAIL:
Meticulous attention to detail is essential ADAPTABILITY:
Willingness to take direction and adapt to different means and methods PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
